CITIZENSHIP TRAINING CAMP

A one week citizenship training Camp is organised by our Bethany Navajeevan College of education, from 22-01-2024 to 26-01-2024 for the first year student teachers. The main theme of the Camp was "Developing Civic sense and social Ethics"

The inauguration programme was Started by a prayer song. Then our Principal Dr.S.K. Bernet lighted the lamp and gave presidential address. Then Ashika. J., first year student teacher welcomed the gatherings. A welcome dance was performed by first year student teachers. Our principal in his presidential address insisted about the importance of conducting CT Camp in the current Senario of the Society.
                                            
               
                                                
                                    DAY-1
            First day of the Camp, Art and Craft was conducted by theme of "Visual and Creative Designs". The Resource Person of the day Mrs. Emimal Roselin, the Art Instructor, taught the student teachers how to make bottle painting, canvas painting and wall hanging. It provides student teachers with a creative outlet to explore their artistic talent and develop their craft skills. The overall programme was compilated by Ms. Ferin Joylin, first year student teacher.

              DAY-2
     23-01-2024 was the second day for the citizenship training camp. The first session of the CT camp, the seminar on "DRAMA IN EDUCATION" was held under the theme of "Drama Gateway to Express Human Emotions". Our principal Dr.S.K.Bernet honoured the Resource person and gave introductory speech. Our correspondent Rev. Dr. John Christopher OIC delivered Keynote address. The Resource Person of the day was Prof.Xavier Dhas, former Head in Department of English, St. Judes College, Thoothoor. He insisted the importance of Art and Drama in teacher Education. Group wise activities related to music, dance, speech and drama were given to all the student teachers. The session provided hands on experience and interactive sessions to encourage active participation of the student teachers. The Overall programme was compered by • Ms. P.R. Anisha, first year student teacher.

In the next fession, the seminar on "SELF AWARENESS" held under the theme of "Discovery yourself". Our principal, Dr.S.K.Bernet honoured the resource person and gave - introductory speech. The resource person of the session was Rev. Fr. George Thomas OIC, the Principal of Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher - Secondary School. He clearly explained the types of anxiety by giving suitable examples through his real life experiences and Conducted an activity based on that. With the help of the activity, the student teacher became aware of their anxiety and fear to various scenarios. The overall programme was compilated by Ms.Shalini, first year student teacher.

          DAY-3
24-01-2024 is the third day for the Citizenship Training Camp. The third day Programme for CT camp was "visiting Emmaus Rehabilitation Centre, Mulagumoodu". We reached the spot at precisely 10:30 A.M. and numerous Cultural events were arranged by our first year Student teachers. The programs like dancing, singing etc. The cultural events that our student-teachers presented brought happiness to the minds of all the mentally Challenged women. They also showcased their talents through their dance and songs and shared their joy to us. The Overall programme was compered by Sis. Sibia Rani, first year student teacher. In addition to that we visited Historical places such as St. Mary's Orthodox church, Thiruvithancode and Devasahayam Pillai Memorial Place, Nattalam. We the student teachers enjoyed well and get many experience.

DAY-4
25-01-2024 is the fourth day for the Citizenship Training Camp conducted in our college. In the first session of third day CT camp the practical training of "YOGA AND HEALTH" was conducted under the theme of "Renovating un-natural Life style". Our Principal Dr.S.K. Bernet honoured the resource person and gave introductory note about the session. The Resource Person of the session was Mr.Robert Delphin, Physical Director. He taught different aasanas and Pranayamas. This practice was long for about 2 hours. Exercises for relieving stress, reducing pain and enhancing the flexibility of the ankles, knees etc... were also done for the benefit of our student teachers. The Overall programme was Compilated by Ms.T. Binu Dalmya, first year Student teacher.

In the second session, the seminar on "DRUG ADDICTION" was conducted. Our Principal Dr. S.K. Bernet honoured the resource person and gave introductory note about the Session. The Resource person of the Session was Rev. Fr. John Benher, Director of Puthuvasantham. He discussed the cases where drug addicted youth end up in complications and lands in emergency situations. The medical changes which occur in the body and mind of the youth and the medical interventions that occur was discussed in depth. After that, a person Shared his real-life experiences due to drug addiction. At the end of the programme, a short film regarding the effects of drug addicted family is showcased to the student-teachers. The programme benefited a lot to the student teachers by making them aware of the harm of drugs intake. The overall session was compilated by Ms. Athira, first year student teacher.

                DAY-5
26-01-2024 is the fifth day for the citizenship training camp. In the first session of fifth day CT Camp, the 75th Republic Day was Celebrated under the theme of "vision to Mission".
           In the Second session, the seminar on "LAW AWARENESS" began sharply at 10:30 pm. Our Principal Dr.S.K. Bernet honoured the resource person and gave introductory speech about the session. The Resource Person of the session was Mr. Binu Thottathil, Advocate and counselling psychologist. He handled the session very effective way by pointing out the fundamental laws, Residencial laws, POSCO Act, Vigilance etc. It was Very beneficial for our student teachers and they utilized the session well. The overall session was Compilated by Ms. Rini Varghesse, first year Student teacher.
          In the next session, food preparation took place. we prepared the food together in Bethany Ashram. All the first year student teachers eagerly participated in the food preparation.
          After that, the Camp fire started at precisely 6:45 P.M. under the headship of Rev. Fr. George Thomas OIC, Principal of Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Seconday School and he gave felicitation address. The first year student teachers enjoyed a lot in this session. The overall session was Compilated by Ms. J.K. Steffy. Then we had dinner together. Thus the five day Citizenship Training camp came to an end successfully.

ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION 2023-2024

Bethany Navajeevan Institution Celebrated 17th Annual day Triumph-2024 for Academic year with 2023-2024 on 05-01-2024 with great joy and enthusiasm under the theme of "Protect and Prosper" in Bethany Auditorium at 3:45 pm.           Shri Selva Rajan, GM and Head IREL; Rev. Dr. Mathew Jacob Thiruvalil OIC, provincial Superior; Mr. KonRad Hirzal and Mrs. Johanna Hirzal were the Guest of Honour. Our bethanians Welcomed the Guest of Honour with great Pleasure. The band Set, NCC, Scout and Guide, Red cross students were taken part in the march past to highlight the events.           The programme was started with Welcome song and Prayer song by the Choir. Then Rev. Fr. George Thomas OIC Welcomed the gatherings. Followed by the Chief Guests and dignitories lighted the lamp. Annual Report was read by our correspondent Rev. Dr. John Christopher OIC.
